What do we do?

We see wicked acts
Everyday in the world;
Innocent people suffer and die;
People’s hearts are full of evil;
This evil is expressed in evil acts;
Many do to others as they like none
To do to them;
What do we do to make the world
An excellent place for all?
My proposal:
Every day avoid evil and do good;
Call on others in one way or other
To do good and avoid evil.
Do you have some ideas,
Of what we can do,
To make the world an excellent place?
Why not share?

Injustice is destroying the world.

Do you know the worst form of human rights violation?

Human rights are violated everyday in the world; and the worst form of it is injustice.
Injustice is destroying the world. The world shall know no peace until it knows justice.

Have you ever stopped for a moment to think about the injustice that is destroying the world? Or have you ever asked yourself why there are protests and wars all over the world?
The world is more or less a boiling pot of violence, always steaming with problems, with people running up and down, protesting, and fighting. The reason is there is so much injustice going on.
People are fighting for justice
Wherever you find people fighting, they are searching for justice. They want justice to prevail. They want to get their own fair share of the abundance of the world.
If there is no justice it is because there are too many greedy and unscrupulous people

Many people are pushed by greed to want all the good things of life only for themselves. They already have what they need; but they want more; and will stop at nothing to take the little that others have to add to theirs.

While some people are fighting to have their own share or just to have a little share of what is available for all to enjoy, there are the greedy ones are fighting to have everything for themselves.
It can never be over stressed that the world will know no peace until it knows justice.
Deeply entrenched in every human heart is a desire for justice. All normal human beings yearn for justice.
It unfortunately that we people, especially in positions of power, who think they can trample on justice and go free. They practice injustice with impunity deceived by initial success to think that they can get away with it. Hence, they continue to trample on others; and eventually, however, they are caught up and they pay dearly for it directly or indirectly.

Indirectly, it may be transferred to their progeny. Hence, although they may seem to leave the world scene scotch-free, they are not free as such.
There is no gainsaying that injustice anywhere in the world will bring trouble; if not immediate later.
The institutionalization of injustice is the cause of the violent protests and wars that we have everywhere in the world. This is too bad for the world. So much destruction is caused; and so many losses in material and human lives are incurred.

A time-bomb

Wherever we find injustice but do not find violence, let us not be deceived. It is not a situation of peace. It is a time-bomb. If it does not explode today, it will explode tomorrow. If it does not shatter us today, it will shatter us tomorrow; and if we are not the ones to be shattered, some other person shall be shattered. The bottom line is there will be destruction.
We have to be careful how we handle justice in the world. This demands that we fully understand what is justice and what is injustice.

By justice we mean the even or fair distribution of common resources of the earth. By injustice we mean the uneven distribution of these resources. Cheating, trampling on others, treating others as if they were second class citizens; depriving others of what is rightfully theirs all constitute injustice.
God meant and still means the world to be a just place for all. Sadly, some have decided that, like the pigs in the novel ‘Animal Farm’ by the famous writer George Owell, they will be ‘more equal than others’; and so they swim in opulence while others perish in misery. This is gross injustice.
Undoubtedly, as long as this situation continues, there will hardly be peace in the world. The victims of injustice anywhere in the world will always seek ways to rise and ask for their due as we witness daily in the upheavals, violent protests and wars that are everywhere.
History has a record of many leaders who practiced injustice on their indolent and apparently helpless people and prided themselves of having achieved peace for them, just to get up one morning to have the shock of their lives when, from nowhere, the people began to hit the table to say ‘enough is enough’.
Many of us have borne witness to this happening; and sometimes it is where no one ever expected it to happen. Do we not remember the recent happenings in Iraq, Libya, Egypt, and many other countries of the world?
Justice ought to prevail in the world for us to have peace; and for this to happen, love is the prerequisite. We need love to reign in the hearts of the people of the world so that we may have a just world.
Where there is love there is kindness. When we love, we are kind to the one we love; and when we are kind to someone we are just to them. As the French writer truly says, “We cannot be just if we are not kind-hearted.” How can anyone be just if he is devoid of a human heart?
For anyone to have power without a sense of justice, can be a most unfortunate thing to happen. Such a person can do a lot of evil. Unfortunately, in today’s world, there are many people who have enormous power in their hands but are devoid of a spirit of justice. There can be no wonder, therefore, that we see what we see in the world; that the world is full of evil.
As violence begets violence,
Evil begets evil,
Injustice begets injustice;
Peace begets peace.
Thus, we all need to examine our hearts and minds to see what fills it. Is it a sense of justice or a sense of injustice that fills your hearts and minds?
Do you often find yourself scheming to cheat, steal, exploit, or trample on others to get what does not belong to you, not caring about others? To do any of these is to promote injustice in the world. Rest assured that it will come back to haunt you.
Injustice in the political arena
A good arena where injustice flourishes is the political arena. Many politicians are strong promoters of injustice, which is a shame; and a pity. It is not uncommon to hear someone openly claiming that there is no justice in politics; that the just politician does not succeed.
Does the just politician not succeed?

Of course, the just politician succeeds. The just politician ought to be the only politician who succeeds. The unjust politician is always a woeful failure even if he comes out victorious from the ballot box. In the judgment of the creator which is the only judgment that truly matters, he is a great failure.
Justice is important in the world. Let us do all we can to promote justice in the world. Let all the children of the world have their fair share of the resources of the world.
If justice prevails, peace will prevail. If peace prevails, the world will be an enjoyable place for all.

A most ambitous and courageous vision for the world

Hello! You might have read our ‘About’ page but still have doubts in your mind what we actually stand for. Before we created this blog we had published quite some good stuff on our vision elsewhere. We like those of you who do not actually know where we are going to get it right away. Instead of putting up new posts we think it proper to import what is already existing.

As you will see, you just cannot be left out of this. This is a revolution. Do not be left out when you are among the first to know about it. Read the following posts:

Determined to end her life

Daily Post/ Daily prompt/Second Hand Stories

Agatha was determined to die to put an end to twenty years of torture, frustration, and sorrow in her marital home.

She decided she would jump into River Amado and be swept to her end.

That fateful night she took her seat in the bus. Her plan was to jump through the window as it was speeding on the bridge over the River Yama.

Soon the bus was ten kilometers away from the river.  The thought of diving into it, being swept downstream and crocodiles tearing her body into pieces frightened her.

Her heart pounded so hard she thought it would break. She burst into tears. Then quickly stopped and began to pray…

Obama challenges the world

U.S President Barack Obama is on a crusade for the poor. He wants the gap between the rich and the poor in his country reduced.  This move is welcome not only for the citizens of the United States, but for the whole world.

There is a worrisome gap between the rich and the poor everywhere. In many countries, the rich have more than enough for themselves and much to throw away while some cannot afford the basics to live on. This is one of the injustices destroying the world.

Those who swim in wealth do not work harder than those who wallow in misery. In fact, it is the reverse. Those who work hardest reap the least from their work. Those who spend time enjoying live on the sweat of those who work hardest but are voiceless.

The world needs to do something not to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor, but to completely eliminate it.

Is it possible? Why should it not be? This gap has been created by us humans. We can also eliminate it.

What makes it difficult is our thinking which emanates from our education.

Our education has made us believe that it is normal for some people to swim in wealth while others perish in misery. Our education has built greed in our hearts and we want to be fine alone while others suffer.

There is a need for us to be a re-educated to see that the resources of the world are meant for everybody not for a few alone. We need to be re-educated to see the injustice in the way the resources of the world are distributed and do something about it.

It is comforting that the leader of the most powerful nation of the world has seen this injustice and is not only talking about it but is actually trying to do something about it. Although he is focusing on his country, if there is success here, it will, over the years, extend to other countries.

President Obama’s effort merits support. The U.S Republican House Speaker, John Boehner says the authority President Obama “has doesn’t add up to much for those without opportunity”.  This may be right if we go by the country’s Constitution. The question is: why can’t those who can do something about it do it? Why can’t they fight for those without opportunity? How will they escape being labeled as greedy if they do nothing and let the situation continue as it is.

I want to hail Mr. Obama for what he is doing for those without opportunity in his country.  It is a challenge to everyone of us in the world to fight for people without opportunity where we find ourselves.

I thus call on you to speak out loudly and clearly in favor of policies in your country and the world that close the gap between the rich and the poor.

You can start right here through your comment. Remember: anyone who is silent in the face of the wrong things going on in the world is an accomplice as far as that wrong ins concerned.

We shall go gradually

On this blog we are going gradually; but we will never give up. Our concern is not traffic. Our concern is to identify people who are burning with the desire to change the world for the good of all. Those of us who subscribe top the idea of an excellent world are positive-minded people who believe that everything is possible. We believe that the world was meant to be an excellent place; but we have made it what it is by our evil ways. We believe that we can correct the wrongs we have done.

It is not going to be an easy task. What we want is to take the world on a new direction. These are the first steps of that new direction. We have often heard about making the world a better place. We are talking of making the world an excellent place.

This is the first time we are hearing of this vision of mobilizing one billion people for an excellent world. We do not say that it will be easy. We say that it is a journey of one billion kilometers. When one person joins the train we have covered one kilometer. Kilometer by kilometer we shall get to our destination. Whether this is done in one billion years or more is not the issue. Our concern is to be on the journey.

Our concern is to be getting positive-minded people of goodwill to be motivating and inspiring one another to do only what is good for the world.

We are ready to be laughed at.  We are ready to be criticized.  We are  ready to have our feet pulled. We are ready to be labelled dreamers. We are ready. We shall march on until our candle burns out and future generations continue from where we shall end.

I know that there are people who understand this vision perfectly and believe in it.  There are people who recognize a great idea when they find one. We are going for those people.  We hope one by one to get to them and get them on board.

We are appealing to you to join us. We also like to get your comment on this. What do you think of our vision and dream? Please do not be silent. You are in your billions with great minds. Do not be silent when a great idea is being pushed forward. People with small minds can be silent; not people with great minds like you.

Make your voice heard on this very important matter. Am I wasting my time? Is it a cause worth fighting for? Can it lead to something for the world? Are someone with a great mind or someone with a small mind?

We are ready for the positive comments of people with great minds. We are also ready for the negative comments of people with small minds.

I am fully aware that  those with great minds will get on board after reading this. I am also aware that those with small minds will ignore this father reading it. One thing is sure: we will move on with those believe in what we are doing.

Go to here here for more information on our crusade. Also visit a new vision for an excellent world.

Are good people weaker than evil people?

I have always asked myself whether the good people of the world are weaker than the evil people. Are the bad people stronger than the good people?

I ask these questions because  the good people of the world always seem to sit idly by and do nothing while the evil people destroy the world.

Can the good people of the world not say a vehement no to the so much evil in the world caused by evil people? Can they not say enough is enough and stand firm? They cannot fold their arms and do nothing and claim to be innocent when the world is being destroyed by evil people.  They would be considered accomplices. You cannot know what to do and be silent and allow evil to prevail over good.

Silence in the face of evil is an endorsement of evil.

The good people of the world must stand up like one man and say no to evil. They must speak out and denounce evil loudly, clearly and boldly.

They must fight like one man fiercely. If they work in isolation they will be crushed. If they go in dispersed ranks, the evil people will crush them.

The evil people of the world do not like to see the good people united because that will make them strong and will easily flush out evil from the face of the world.

The challenge of the good people of the world therefore is to come together and work like one man and flush out evil from the earth.

You who are a good person, are you ready to join such a union of good people of the world? If you are, follow this blog. That is how to join the others so that together we can make the world an excellent place. Secondly, spread the word about our crusade for an excellent world.

Let us join hands and bring into our forum one billion people so that we will be a force too powerful for evil to stand.  Together we will crush evil in the world.

Follow now.

Slow and steady wins the race

It takes a long time to build a mansion.  It is a hut that can be built in a very short time. In a hurry to get their own house, many people  go in for a huts which takes a short time to build; and get it ready for use.

Others prefer to wait and go in for a mansion which will take far longer.

As we pursue an excellent world, some people will see sense in what we are doing and will join us;many will not. Yet, we will continue. We are building a mansion not a hut. It will take a very long time to complete it.

Yet we will persist for we know the result that  we’ll have in the end: the joy of success.

Let’s know what you think.

If you are for an excellent world  do not forget to invite your friends to join too.
