We cannot give up
on the world,
Bad as it maybe;
We have to keep trying;
The world God created
Was not meant
To be an evil place;
It was meant
To be a place of love;
A place of togetherness;
A place of unity;
And of solidarity;
A place of milk and honey;
But we destroyed it
With greed and pride;
Greed pushed us to want
More than we needed
And deserved;
Pride pushed us to want
To be more than
We were designed to be;
And so disobeyed the law
Of he that brought us
into being;
And earned the punishment
That was designed
For those who disobey.
